Characteristics of the Waves Energy

The wave energy, or energy obtained from the waves of the sea, has the following characteristics:
  • It is an clean energy that does not generate emissions of polluting gases.
  • It is an renewable energy availability, with greater or less intensity, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in any weather and time of year.
  • It is a predictable resource, if known, among other factors, wind on the high seas, atmospheric currents, storms and other meteorological phenomena.
  • The generation of environmental impacts are much lower, practically nil, when compared with other renewable energies.
  • An autochthonous resource that diminishes, for countries and regions with seacoast, the energy dependence of the outside.
  • The potential in the world for this renewable energy is very high and it is practically untapped, which means a huge potential market for those devices that prove their viability, both technical and economic, providing great benefits for those companies that are willing to get into this business.
